The 30 acres of Upper Hurst Farm are set within an undulating, upland, pastoral landscape to the south west of the Peak District National Park. Small woodlands and lines of trees are dispersed around the site and provide naturally defined field boundaries.
The setting for the caravan and camping pitches at Upper Hurst Farm is a large field that is on a gentle slope, in to which level caravan pitches have been created. This affords stunning views over the surrounding rural landscape, with open views to surrounding higher ground.
When we started designing the caravan and camping site the amount of space allocated for each pitch was paramount, which is why all everyone with a caravan or motorhome enjoys a generous 11×11-metre super pitch, and there is ample room for campers.
Each super pitch has a hardstanding area, with electric hook-up, its own water tap and grey waste disposal point.
We worked with a local architect to design our underfloor-heated toilet and shower block, which is maintained to extremely high standards. Our showers are free, so there is no fumbling for tokens or coins.
There are also electric shaver points above the sinks in the men’s shower room..
The building also incorporates a large shower unit that has been designed for disabled guests and is also ideal for family use. We also offer a washing machine and dryer, iron and ironing board.
