The caravan and camping pitches at Upper Hurst Farm are on a large, gently sloping field. All of the pitches offer stunning views over the surrounding rural landscape, with open views to higher ground.
The super-pitches are all generous and more than 11 square metres. Each super-pitch has a 16A electric hook-up, its own water tap and a grey waste disposal point at the rear of the pitch.
Each super-pitch has been arranged in 3 thirds: two thirds hardstanding, and one third grass. You will be asked to pitch awnings onto the hardstanding; this is to enable you to make the most of your pitch, avoid unused space, provide ample space between you and your neighbours, prevent muddy awnings, and provide a more comfortable stay. Our ground is very easy to peg into as we are on clay; you'll just need some rock pegs and a hammer. If you have a continental van or have a unit with the main door on the opposite side, please let us know - we have two pitches that are ideal for you, but you may be asked to pitch your van backwards if these pitches aren't available.
Arrival 2pm | Departure 12pm. Please respect these times, we need chance to mow and clean before new arrivals come in. Thank you.

We have 15 tent pitches, all with 10A electric hook-up, which are set around the perimeter of the main camping area. There is ample room for toddlers to play safely in the centre of this area, but there is a separate area for ball games.
The tent pitches are ample, but we only accept tents with a maximum footprint of 30 square metres, including additional structures such as gazebos or awnings. If you have a very large tent and/or you wish to bring additional structures or gazebos please contact us in advance of booking. Cars are no longer parked on the grass as pictured; each tent pitch has its own designated parking space which is next to the tent field. There are two pitches whose parking spaces are slightly further away, but most pitches have parking spaces right next to the pitch.
For campers with restricted mobility, we have two tent pitches that are on a flat grassy area, closer to the toilet/shower block.
Arrival 2pm | Departure 12pm . Please respect these times, we need chance to mow and clean before new arrivals come in. Thank you.
Dogs are very welcome and we mow paths around and in our 3.5-acre field for dog-walkers. When there are no other dogs around and/or children playing in this field it is fine to let the dog off the lead. There are two large fields adjacent to the site with a public footpath running through - so great to give them a good run.
We are on the border of Derbyshire and Staffordshire and right in the centre of two extensive Dales, Beresford Dale and The Manifold Valley which is doggy-walking heaven as you can walk for miles on reasonable footpaths.
We have a 3.5-acre field with stunning views to the North for children to play games. This includes a mown area with football posts and swings and slides. The swings and slides are more suited to the little ones. One great thing about this playing area - it is so safe for children. It is at the top of the camping area and a good 200 yards from the site entrance (the lane leading to the site entrance is quiet).
We also have 4 miniature Shetland ponies which the kids are sure to fall in love with!
A large wet room area has been designed primarily for guests with restricted mobility but we also allow families with small children to use this too. We have baby changing facilities and an electric hand dryer in this area. This room is accessed using a code, please ask for the code at Reception on arrival.
Please read our Access Statement for further details.
